Wild Oats

Chasmanthium latifolium

Wild Oats or Indian Wood Oats (Chasmanthium latifolia) will add year round interest to your garden because the seeds that develop in the summer make a lovely display in the fall. Small mammals and some birds eat the seeds. It is easy to care for- just cut back in the early spring.
