Devils Walking Stick

Aralia spinosa

Devils Walking Stick (Aralia spinosa) is a tall straight tree with a viciously prickly stem. If you can live with the thorns, it is a wonderful tree to have around because of all the bees and butterflies that are attracted to the flowers that form at the top in the spring. The birds come later to eat the berries!
