Green Frog April 2010

The Green frog (Rana clamitans)

Green frogs have a fold of skin that starts behind the eye and runs down their backs. These dorsolateral ridges are found on Green frogs but not on Bullfrogs.

Visitors might see Green frogs in or around our freshwater pond. They will eat: bugs, beetles, spiders, ants, moth larvae and snails.

Found by first graders at Elms, April 2010.
