Yellow Spotted Salamander Eggs

Ambystoma maculatum

These eggs are in a vernal pool on the Elms property. Visiting students are thrilled to see them and delight in discovering what they feel like.

This single egg got separated from the rest. Note the developing salamander larvae inside.

Found by visiting 1st graders to the Elms March 2011.
