Buck Moth: Feb 2011

The buck moth (Hemileuca sp.) caterpillar turns into a beautiful black and white moth.

Be aware: the book by David Wagner- Caterpillars of Eastern North America, states that the spines of this caterpillar can discharge poison causing skin irritations.
